Tuesday 29th March (Niagara Dam - Kalgoorlie)

Sun is trying very hard to poke through the clouds and when it eventually does it is going to be HOT. Calling past Kookynie which has a working Pub but is actually a ghost town.  We were here in 2009 and it is really disappointing to see it so run down, there is a for sale sign on the Pub and there is rubbish everywhere....sad. Then it is off to Kalgoorlie for 2 nights so that Wayne can get his car serviced, and Joy & I can catch up on some retail therapy, it has been way too long.. Stopped at Menzies where Wayne managed to grab the last home made pie and Barry and I were able to make lots of phone calls as we now have a signal ...yiiipppeee. Wayne & Joy have decided not to go out to Lake Ballard as it is apparently very wet. Glad that we saw the display on our last visit in 2009.
