Friday 11th March (York - Walebing)

Wandered around the town this orning checking out shops & stopping for morning tea at the local Bakery.  Gorgeous little old fashioned town to browse around.  Warm to hot day again today so will try to seek out a swimming pool along the way to cool off. Lots of hugs and farewells before hitting the road at 12.00noon.  Plan on calling past a little town called Bindoon to buy some home made sausages that have been recommended to us before heading up to New Norcia for the night.  Not a cloud in the sky, not a blade of green grass, and dams nearly empty, very dry, feel so sorry for the farmers. Have passed through Northam, Toodyay which is another  quaint little town with a very narrow main street and old buildings, before cutting across a B road to Bindoon. Oh no.....the sausage man went out of business last week, can't believe we are just one week too late. Have by passed New Norcia as Joy has already seen it and so have Barry & I, I think you need at least a half day to stroll around all the different buildings and take in the atmosphere and Wayne is happy to keep going. Spending the night at a little place called Walebing beside the Roadhouse.
