We have had a few nice relaxing days with the boys going fishing and some sightseeing around the place. Yesterday Joy and I went up to The Resort for a hot chocolate and for me a sticky date pudding and for joy a white chocolate macadamia cheese cake.....so yummy. Decided that was our treat for while we are staying here, not going out for dinner as the report from the caravan staff is that it is a "bit hit & miss" as far as the quality. This morning Joy & I packed up our new beach chairs and headed down to the beach for a spot of sunbaking, beautiful day and a nice 1km walk to get there.
This afternoon Barry and I went around to have afternoon tea with a member of Barry's family that lives here at Bremer Bay. Rhonda, & her hubby John shared lots of family history with Barry and I was absolutely amazed at the beautiful quilting that Rhonda does. Spectacular. She has close to 30 quilts of all different colors and designs that she has done.
Barry & Wayne have headed out fishing again and because it is now dark I am assuming that they are catching some.
Tomorrow morning Joy & I are heading back to the "Booteek" to grab a few more figs which are delicious and make sure there are no more bargains since Wednesday when we were there last. Only open Wednesday & Saturday so we have to make the most of it.

Monday 22nd February (Bremer Bay Caravan Park)
Went for a drive out to the Bremer Bay Cemetery to have a look and pay our respects to Barry's Father's Cousin, John Morris who is buried there. Apparently it was the Morris Clan that started a fishing industry here in Bremer Bay and there is only John's daughter, Rhonda left living here.
Then it was further up the road to visit the Wellstead Heritage Museum. There is so much to be seen that you would need to spend a few days to really have a good look at it.
Currently quite warm but blowing a gale, I am really, really sick of the wind.
Decided to go for an explore this afternoon and have a look at all the different beaches around the peninsula.
Finished a lovely day with a cuppa at The Old Telegraph Station......someone plating silly buggers in the background.
Nearly every house in Bremer Bay has a tea cup planter made out of tyres at their front gate with flowers planted in them.

Drove along a 4WD track near Native Dog Beach and parked the car so that Blossom Beach was to the left and Native Dog was to the right

Sunday 21st February (Needilup77 - Bremer Bay)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN
Stunning morning and only 140kms down to Bremer Bay for our stay there for a few days. 29degrees at 9.15 and we have just run over and killed a black snake in the middle of the road. Snake was in the middle of the road and we were unable to avoid it. Never mind I always say a good snake is a dead snake so I am happy. The countryside is much greener as we make our way south with a lot of Gum Plantations, it smells amazing as we travel along the road, very eucalyptuseee. Have arrive at Bremer Bay Caravan Park and are most impressed, we were here 10 years ago and the place is beautiful. All green grass, a new camp kitchen, immaculate toilets and not in the least bit cramped. I doubt if you would get in here during the peak without booking as it is very popular now. Apparently people are flying in to do a tour out to a reef where there are Killer Whales to be seen, would love to do it but at $350pp it is a little steep. There is also a new Resort here and the place is thriving. Going to the Resort for dinner on tuesday night, so hoping it is as good as it looks.
