Wednesday 2nd March (Denmark Riverfront Caravan Park)

Yesterday we had a quiet day exploring around Denmark and I caught up with a spot of shopping with Joy. There were a lot of light aircraft flying over us all afternoon and we have found out that there is a fire approx 50kms SW of where we are. No problem now and all quiet with planes just doing tricks now and not getting water, so all good. Today we went into Albany to get the car serviced.  Barry and Wayne drove up to the ANZAC Centre situated at The Princess Royal Fort which overlooks King George Sound.  Spectacular views and there has just been $11 milllion spent on it.

Meanwhile Joy & I went shopping and met up with the boys for lunch at The Dome. After lunch we went for a drive out to the Whaling Station to have alook around, then it was back home via a roadside fruit stall that was mentioned to us and bought sweet corn, tomatos and potatos, have been assured that they will be really lovely. Tonight we climbed aboard a 26 seat punt to do a river cruise up the Denmark River.  Dinner was fish & chips supplied by the Pub and we were then taken out through the Estuary to see if there was going to be a nice sunset.  Fantastic value and a very pleasant evening to be cruising along the river watching the birds and reflections in the water.
