On the road by 8.30am and it is dull and a very overcast. No
wind and a quite humid. Forecast states
showers but nothing like yesterdays “super cell” that resulted in hail and an
absolute downpour that had the storm water pits in our side street overflowing
and really battling to cope. First stop
today is Rosedale for a cuppa and then on to Yarragon for an early lunch. The day is now really lovely and sunny and
quite warm traveling in the car – no need for a windcheater any longer. Back on the road at 12.00 and next stop
Calder Rest Area where we will meet up with Stuart & Sue. Starting to look a lot like a convoy now with
3 vans heading towards Lockwood Sth Rest Area where we will meet up with Joy
& Wayne. Our first “Happy hour” with
all the vans set up and listening to Joy’s INXS CD which is a good start to our
trip. No fire at this camp as it is very
dry and could be dangerous. Tomorrow we leave here and journey on to Rupanyup
for a look around where Stuart grew up.
